Band Competition
Congratulations to the PPHS Marching Band who took 1st place in their class at the Dunlap competition on Saturday. They also won best color guard and best percussion in their class!!

Cardinal Student News
Grant McCormick and Abi Robinson have recently started Cardinal Student News, a live broadcast from PPHS every A day at 2:15. They will recap the days announcements, as well as highlight other PPHS news, interview students and faculty, and provide some other entertainment through their own segments. National Merit Commended Scholars
Congratulations to Evan Moore and Brock Brummett on receiving National Merit Commended Scholar status. About 1.5 million high school students take the PSAT, and only about 3% are recognized as Commended Scholars.

Students in the news!!
Congratulations to the PPHS WYSE team on taking first place at the regional competition at LLCC yesterday. The team will advance to the sectional competition sometime in March. Individual medal winners were: Brock Brummett third in chemistry and third in engineering graphics, Kevin Ingram first in chemistry, Jack Snyders third in computer science and second in engineering graphics, Justin Holding second in engineering graphics, Zach Pappas first in engineering graphics, Erin Riley first in English, Jenny Rush first in mathematics, and Bev Watson first in physics.
Lauren Feagans and Hannah Lee won Gold Keys in the Scholastic Art Show this year and have been invited to an all day Art workshop at the Springfield Art Association
Hailey James placed 1st in Extemporaneous-Varsity at our Section Public Speaking Contest. She advanced to Districts which will be April 5 in Macomb.
Brandon Stickler placed first with his swine record-book at Section Proficiency and advanced to Districts on March 8 in Jacksonville.
